Endoscopy Journey

Posted on

Having Celiac I have had my fair share of endoscopies. I am a grown women, but I hate the anesthesia, however I do love a good nap being a Mommy I do not get much of those. But for those of you who have never had a endoscopy, I am here to tell you it is not as bad, it is scary because of the fear of the unknown, but my Husband was there for support and to let me know it will be ok. In another 2-3 years I get to have another lovely one of these! Maybe I should just invest in a Fast Pass for these now? Have you ever had a endoscopy? How did your experience go? I have to have an endoscopy to see if I have coeliac disease? but I’m opting for a numbing throat spray, not a sedative because I don’t want to be sick :’) and I’ve never had anaesthetic before so I think it’s better to stick with what I know 🙂

I had my first endescopy 7 months ago, and I DO have Celiac.I was FREAKING OUT in the waiting room, but? the scariest part was lying there, waiting to get knocked out. But afterwards I was glad that I got a nice nap and it really wasn’t bad.

Since July I have started eating more fresh food and? stay clear of processed foods as much as I can. It has seemed to work, I still have times where my stomach is just mad and I don’t know what I did, I can only assume its the Celiac and the nature of the disease or a sneaky wheat Ninja got into my food.

Thank you so much. Yes, this all started when I was 22, I have tried to make the best of it and laugh along the way as well as cry when I need too.

Thanks for stopping by have a great day!

I wonder if you could look into alkanising your diet and eating more fresh live whole foods. Not processed at all. I find this is great for? healing the insides.

Best wishes to you. You are so young and it is hard to think you have these internal problems. I think there is a book too called “Let food be Your Medicine”…

    I hope this helps. 🙂
