(continued) You also need to be careful if the lunch meat is sliced on the same slicer as some other meat that might? have had gluten in it. I’d stick with prepackaged meats or ask the person slicing the meats to wipe the machine down first. You really have to be careful. I became really sick from salami before I realized there might be gluten in lunch meat.

You really have to be careful with lunch meats and sausage. They often have wheat gluten used as a binding agent. This sausage came from a local butcher. You’ve got either check online or call the companies you are considering. As far as lunch meat, Boar’s Head brand has a statement that all of? their meats cheeses and condiments are gluten free. Hormel has many gluten free products as well as an online list. Deitz and Watson has gluten free hotdogs.
