I believe the reason celiac disease is more common now is because of all the stuff that is in our food, like additives
We’re at the Mayo Clinic this week for my mom, diagnosed with celiac, but not responding to the diet. We met with Dr. Murray on Monday, and he honed in on her patient history and found something suspect that no one else had found. He is not only smart, and knowledgeable, but kind, and comfortable to be with, and just plain awesome!
My friend just made a post on something really interesting she saw online about a potential cure for gluten intolerance and celiac disease that seems to work for just about everyone with gluten issues. My Dr is refusing to test me for celiac he says its nonsense even though I have had most of the symptoms including vitamin deficiencies for over 10 years. I am thinking about paying out of pocket though a company called Life Extensions.
What could have happened that would cause humans to develope a negetive response to wheat. As Dr. Muray states human genes have not changed. One must then look at either the plant itelf or at the amount and volume at which it is consumed. Well thats easy enough. Around the Great Depression Wheat was genetically modified to be a more productive plant. This changed the Gluten protien molecule making it much larger and much more difficult for the human digestive track to absorb. Simple
