Thanks so much Brenda, I had no clue that these were only a local candy until I did some company research for the video.? And even though I grew up in Philly, I never knew about them because my family didn’t celebrate St Patty’s Day when I was a kid. I hope your weekend is going well. Hugs!

Hey Kelvin. I’m not surprised that you never heard of these before.
They’re a local tradition. ? I’ve lived in Philadelphia all my life and still didn’t know about them since I grew up in an Italian family that never really celebrated St Patty’s day.

Thanks Steve, I picked the title since my recipe has the almonds and cocoa in there that make mine look “dirty”.
I’m just hoping that no one of Irish descent thinks of it? an an insult in any way.

  24. EZGlutenFree

Haha, thanks for? dropping by bilrts.

  25. EZGlutenFree

Thanks David. The salty almonds help to make the whole thing less sweet.
I know that you’re a lot like me and? don’t really like a lot of sweets.
I’d take a pile of those ribs you made over candy any day of the week.
