Another beautiful, perfect recipe for this fall, it looks amazing and it is so easy Anne, I love the presentation, it looks like you spent a whole lot of time baking it… but it was so simple and easy!?

Monica, here’s what I found at the Silk (soy milk) website about cooking with soy milk…

If you’re using Silk in a cooked pudding or custard recipe, reduce the liquid and increase the thickening agent (such as cornstarch) by a few tablespoons. Because Silk is very low in saturated fat, it requires a little extra thickener to set up properly.

In this recipe I’d suggest reducing the milk amount from 2/3 cup to just over 1/2? cup and adding 1 extra egg yolk to the recipe to ensure it will set.

I’m not quite sure if the custard will set properly with soy milk. Let me try to research it? further.

It is? surprising how many people have a gluten intolerance yet are unaware. Thanks so much for the kind words.

Great recipe, Your channel is truly a service to folks who have to follow a gluten free diet. I added your link on my channel because I have talked to people who grew up not know that they had an intolerance for gluten. One lady that I meet told me: ” My stomach used to hurt all of the time. My parents told me: Eat your bread It will make you feel better! They did not know that it only made my stomach hurt more. ” Thank you for your? culinary service to the community.

I almost missed the build up Anne, because of having guests. Your right though, it’s a great culinary? time of year. Now I have your permission, I am certain to add this, to my list of projects 🙂

Ginger was a surprise to me too. Thanks for looking. I can see ginger adding that little burn like in Ginger Nut Biscuits (Cookies)

I am just making some royal icing to ice some festive cookies, lots of fun and a few pound threatening to join the waistline 🙁

Hi Steve, this time of the year is great since these holiday desserts make their way back to the tables. I’d love to see what you do with the recipe.
The pumpkin pie spice ingredients are listed in this order: cinnamon,? ginger, nutmeg, and allspice. Actually I was surprised to see the ginger listed since I really didn’t taste it. I’m looking forward to whatever pumpkin recipes you’ve got in the works.

I can smell? that cooking Yum. We don’t have Pumpkin Spices here, What”s in it? I would guess Cinnamon, Nutmeg maybe some mace or allspice? Does it say on the packet.

    Great Recipe Anne 🙂
