Mini Bacon Cheeseburger Impossible Pies – Gluten Free

Posted on

These Mini Bacon Cheeseburger Impossible Pies are a take on Bisquick’s impossible pie recipe series. With lean ground beef, turkey bacon, and low fat cheddar you won’t feel guilty when you indulge in this burger knock off. I’ll be using gluten free Bisquick to make these but the regular variety works just as well. Their smaller size makes it easy to enjoy all of the flavor of a bacon cheeseburger without having a huge dent in your calorie budget. These will be a hit with the whole family at dinnertime. To print this recipe or for more of my gluten free recipes visit the EZGlutenFree blog at ezgf.blogspot.com Ingredients list • 1 lb 90% lean ground beef • 1 large onion diced • 2 strips turkey bacon, diced into small pieces • 1 tbsp steak sauce • 2 tbsp ketchup • 2 oz low fat cheddar, grated • ¾ cup gluten free Bisquick • ¾ cup milk • 2 eggs • salt and pepper to taste For additional free healthy beef recipes, cooking tips and tutorials go to www.FaveHealthyRecipes.com To find this recipe at FaveHealthyRecipes go to www.favehealthyrecipes.com

I’m glad they turned out well for you. When I tried the Bisquick pizza from the box recipe I wasn’t crazy about it either. I remember thinking the texture wasn’t quite right and it was even a little on? the sweet side. At the time I thought it might make a good breakfast pizza but I never got around to trying it. Have a good weekend. What’s left of it.

Hi again, I just wanted to quick stop by and say that I finally tried your mini bacon cheeseburgers last night using the GF Bisquick, and they were actually really good. I was super stoked about this after experiencing the not-so-great pizza crust that I had prepared days ago. I only used half of? the receipe (it’s only me) and made 6 mini-burgers. Plain almond milk was replaced for dairy. I had to forgo the cheese, but I honestly didn’t even miss it. I’m off to work, but have a good Sunday dear!

These are really good. And if? you’ll not watching your weight you could always use regular bacon and double the cheese in the recipe.

That makes two of us trying to fill the bread void. These are a good alternative but I still suffer from serious bread? bread envy whenever I see someone with a good crusty roll. There’s just no replacement for seriously good bread.

Great recipe! Always looking for a good substitute for the “missing” bread component of? burgers.

    Thanks,? Hope you like them.

    Thanks David,
My Kodak does have a video mode but I would need to get a memory card to shoot videos that are more than 30 seconds long. I’d gladly do that but I haven’t? been able to get the videos from kodak easy share to work with windows movie maker. What software do you use to edit your videos? I should seriously be doing more research on these issues. I am so intimidated by technology it’s ridiculous. My 10 year old daughter is light years ahead of me.

Hi Anne I have a Kodak easy share also,
but it must be a later model because it
has “Video Mode” I love it. It took awhile
to learn how to use it, but I think? I do OK
with it now. And I think your mini burgers
are a great idea, Quick and Easy…hardly
    Impossible. Nice!!!

I just love this recipe! I’m craving a good hamburger. I also want to thank you for so many nice recipes. I am not gluten intolerant but I have a very good friend who is and its fun to get ideas for when I have her over to eat. That and? eating gluten free never hurt anyone 😉

Thank you, your kind? words are appreciated.

You’d be surprised with my camera. It’s an old Kodak easy share. It’s so old that Kodak wont even provide product support. I also have a cheap web cam which is compatible with Windows Movie Maker (my editing software)? but that camera has such poor video and audio quality I can’t use it. I have a Flip Cam too which is OK but it’s not compatible with WMM. One day I’ll figure out what to buy or how to upgrade. Right now I’m like a talking cookbook with extra pics. Videos are better. Agreed.

It’s always good to have? something like this in the freezer for those hectic days.

Have you ever considered doing “live” videos instead of using photos? I can only speak for myself here but I find it easier to follow recipes that way, rather than simply reading or, in this case, listening it. Plus you seem to have a pretty good? camera.

O? my goodness these look so good

I found out i had celiac disease about a yr? ago and i’m only 20 and in college so it sucks that i cant eat normal stuff like everyone else when we go out so thank you for making gluten free food that actually looks good 🙂 – Elaina
