Spaghetti alla Carbonara – Gluten Free

Posted on

Carbonara can be a dieter’s worst nightmare but in this version the fat and calories have been drastically reduced. By skipping the heavy cream and using less pancetta the fat levels have plummeted. By adding sautéed onions and handful of peas we can use less pasta while still maintaining the same volume of food on our plate yet still have fewer calories. And this one is so easy it can be made in as little time as it takes to make the spaghetti. Visit my EZ Gluten Free blog at to see this recipe in print or for more gluten free recipes. Thanks for complimenting the Carbonara. Now what did you do to me with this tag thing? I saw you tagged over at Sean’s a few days ago for the pantry tour and was praying nobody would tag me. I don’t even own a decent webcam to shoot videos. All my videos are digital still shots that I string together and narrate. Not to mention that my pantry is? such a mess that I might have to change my name to “Gluten Free In The Ghetto” when all this is said and done.

Thanks Allen, I’m guessing? that if you made your wife carbonara while you were dating, that’s probably why she married you. Between the carbonara and your grilling skills, you’d be a winning combination to any woman.
