“Digestive Wellness: The Brain-Gut Connection” with Liz Lipski, PhD, CCN

Posted on

Digestive imbalances and mental health go hand in hand. This class will focus on the gut-brain connection. If we balance digestive function, often depression, fatigue, arthritis, eczema, migraines, ADD, and auto-immune illness also come into balance. We will focus on celiac and gluten intolerance, irritable bowel syndrome, probiotics, and healing foods. Dr.Liz Lipski is the Director of Doctoral Studies and Educational Director at Hawthorn University. She holds a doctorate in Clinical Nutrition and is board certified in Clinical Nutrition and Holistic Nutrition. She has been in clinical practice for over 25 years and is the author of “Digestive Wellness,” “Digestive Wellness for Children” and “Leaky Gut Syndrome.”

    I’ve had:

    1. Antibiotics for the first few years of my life;

    2. Not breastfeeding;

    3. Mercury exposure;?

    4. Extraordinary amounts of stress;

    5. More antibiotics in my late teens;

    6. Not getting enough sunlight;

    7. Chronic insomnia (about 3 hours of sleep? per night);

    8. Incorrectly performed colonic irrigation that? went four times longer than it should have;

    9. Etc.

    Is there any way back, through natural health?
